Designing for Two Kinds of Evenings

The interior of Fresh and Fork is built around a simple idea: a space that feels equally at home hosting a leisurely à la carte dinner and a brisk hand of blackjack. From the moment you enter, the design signals quality without formality. Warm timber panelling, softly lit surfaces and carefully placed greenery create a dining room that is both inviting and composed.

The layout is deliberately flexible. During regular service, the floor holds a comfortable mix of intimate tables and larger communal settings, each spaced to allow easy conversation and unobtrusive service. When the venue hosts its casino-inspired evenings, the same floor accommodates felt-topped poker, roulette and blackjack tables, with the furniture rearranged to create clear sightlines and a natural flow between dining and play. Nothing is bolted down, and nothing feels temporary — this is a considered design, not a compromise.

Lighting plays a central role in shifting the mood. Over the dining areas, warm, adjustable fixtures can be set to a bright, fresh level that flatters the food and keeps the room energetic. As the evening progresses, the lighting can be dimmed and focused, drawing the eye to the deep colour of the felt tables and the glint of chips and cards. This layered approach means the room never feels like it is being repurposed; it simply reveals a different character.

Questions About the Space

How does the interior accommodate casino tables?

The dining room is designed with flexibility in mind. Tables and chairs can be repositioned to create clear areas for poker, roulette and blackjack, with sightlines that keep the focus on the game while still allowing comfortable dining nearby.

Is the space suitable for private events?

The layout can be tailored for small gatherings or larger parties, with the same level of care given to both the dining and entertainment elements. Speak with our team about your specific needs when making a reservation.

What kind of lighting is used in the dining room?

Adjustable warm lighting is used throughout, with separate zones for the bar, dining areas and potential gaming spaces. This allows the room to shift from bright and fresh during the day to more intimate and focused in the evening.

Are there different seating options available?

Yes, the floor includes a mix of intimate tables for two, larger communal settings, and high-top options near the bar. Upholstered chairs and bench seating provide comfort for long meals or extended play at the tables.
